Generative AI is rapidly reshaping the workforce across various sectors, and the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field is no exception. According to a new report from the ICT Workforce Consortium (featuring Google, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Intel, and more), 92% of roles in ICT will be significantly or moderately impacted by AI advancements.
The report highlights that key areas such as business management, cybersecurity, data science, UX design, software development, and operations will all experience a transformation, with at least 50% of core skills being influenced by AI. Junior and mid-level roles are expected to be most affected, with 96% of entry-level and 84% of mid-level positions undergoing significant changes.
